No, I ruled out the ravine because I had one episode of death wobble a few weeks before the "incident", it was going over a set of rough railroad tracks and the wobble started and did not stop till about 5mph.

Come on, a ravine?

Well that rules that out pretty conclusively then. I still suggest taking it to the dealer and having a tech ride along with you.

Haha, that's EXACTLY what I was thinking on or about 5/17/11. Strange, huh?

Ok. I took one for the team and looked at mine. I have absolutely no play like what you are showing. One of the things on Jeeps is the correct torque on the components, especially the track bar. Have you checked them?

you know the torque value for the track bar? Did you have your truck on concrete and just turn the wheel back and forth? Thats what mine did.

YouTube - ‪FORD QUALITY!!! DEATH WOBBLE‬‏

No, its not me! Mother Farmer! ha.

But this is the exact same thing I experience when I hit an odd bump in the road. I'm afraid if i take it to the dealer they will just say "We can't replicate it"

Ford knows there is an issue here. Why can't they just fix it.

Those videos are scary to watch.
I definitely think that play could be the cause of your D/W based on my experience with my Bronco.

That kit is way over priced in my opinion. A good offroad fab shop should be able to make you the same thing for much less.

Sorry, I don't know the values. Jeeps are 165 ft/lbs if memory serves me correctly. I'm sure one of the techs can chime in.

I looked at with the truck running and moving it back and forth on asphalt as well as with it shut off and trying to move anything by hand. On your video I thought I saw you able to move the damper by hand, is that correct? If so, mine was rock solid.

I could not move the damper but the drag link would rotate. Does yours do that? I'd say a half inch of rotation on the ball joint.

Pardon my english. I get nervous when being recorded. I wish I had Epic's video presence. :0

Lex - great video. It's a lot better than trying to describe what's going on. I went out and tried mine and it does move in the same way as yours but it has a clear limit to the amount it can rotate. When I twist it back and forth, it stops firmly. It appears yours turns just a little bit more than mine, maybe. My trac bar also seems to be the same as yours. I'm going to hook up the camera under the truck and drive it a bit. See what happens.

125 ft lbs. on the Jeep, not sure on the Ford. If you take it to the dealer, have them torque everything to spec. especially the tracbar. If it is the tracbar get it done as soon as possible. As in the Jeeps it tends to oval out the hole after a while and then you need to weld a HD washer or replace the bracket.

I'm not getting anywhere near that amount of movement. About half of what I can see from your movement.

I don't have any movement in the steering movement though? Its just that side to side movement.

Trying googling "2011 Ford F350 track bar torque". I found one link that showed it to be 406 ft/lbs. Can that be correct? 131 1106 Ford F250 Suspension Lift Kit Track Bar Photo 6

Got to run out. But if you don't find it, I will search some more when I am back.
