Boost Question

So I installed my DP about a week ago (What an awesome device by the way). So while Im out cruising around testing it out I have noticed that I am not seeing the high end boost numbers everyone talks about. In 120 race I top out at about 22 PSI and thats close to matting it, same in the 80E setting. I'm wondering if that is a sign of a boost leak some where and if so where should I start first? Id assume intercooler boots?

Also on the high way yesterday at about 75 I felt a slight shutter in the truck and watched the boost gauge go from about 6 pounds down to 3-4 for a second or so and then shoot right back up to 6.

Any ideas???
