Has anyone put new tires on their stock 18's yet? Would you mind posting some pictures...
Also does your pic show your truck with a lift/level?
I am looking for a beefed up all terrain or mud terrain tire. I do not like the way the 18's look, but I can't decide if it's because of the continentals. If it's just the tire it would save me $1000 from "having" to buy new wheels too.
I still keep an eye on it and do remember all your photo shop work. Now that more people have these trucks I wanted to see if anyone new has done anything with the stock 18's.
Look into some of the plus sized tires.
I put the Toyo 285/75/18 on my 2006 truck. They fill in the wheel well a little better and it just fine on a stock truck and they use the same recommended width wheel as the stock wheels. Unlike many of the larger tires that recommend a 9 OR 10 inc wheel width

That is the exact size Toyo MT's I want to get. I'm not worried about the new tires....I just can't decide if the 18" wheels are cheap looking because of the tires, so I was hoping someone put different tires on those specific rims to see what they look like. I am being very indecisive on whether to buy new wheels and have yet to see anyone with the stockers and beefed up tires. The 20's look great with different tires.
New tires are going to be necessary, do not trust the continentals to drive through the snowy colorado mountains.
I've seen some trucks around town with bigger tires on the 18's and it looked damn good. Get a nice wide tire to give the look of less offset.
As for the stock 20's, not really a fan even with a nicer tire. I think I'm in the minority though as most people seem to like those wheels. I just think for the upgrade price to get them you can get a heck of a lot nicer aftermarket wheel.
There was a guy on here that put some BFG's on the 18" rims. Same size as stock but it really made the truck look different.
You could just buy some new tires and put them on the stock rims then if you don't like them just buy the rims. This way you could see how they would look first on your truck up close.
On the stock 18s, you can't go much wider than 295 width otherwise the narrow rim is going to cause the tire to wear more in the middle. You will see 325s but if they tow or load the tires, they will have fast centre wear. To get a bigger tire in the wheel well, go with a higher profile like a 295/75*18 as this will get you the biggest possible. At some point I took pics of my 285/65*18 Yokohama at/s and they really fill out well. I might go one step bigger next time too, 295 or even 305, but at higher profile I will need to lift the front 21/2 inches to still clear.
Ps tire pics in my gallery, it's and 05 but the 18 rims are same offset and width.

Reason: More info
I think I will go for aftermarket 18's or factory 20's (although people are being ridiculous about what they are charging, not going to pay $2800 for wheels when they were a $1200 option that included tires).
I like the 11.5 wide...he posted one pic from the rear and the tires just barely stick out. If anyone who has 12.5 wide wants to post pics directly from the front and rear, that might also help people on here. I have seen very few, most are the angled pics from the side.
