Leveling 2wd...im confused
wanting to level out front end, so started doing some research. i went to the sticky thread about the springs, and found my door code to be "C D" but not sure what that means. i looked on broncogravceyard.com and found superlift coil spring for 135. they are 17'' unloaded with a spring rate of 400 lb/in....i can get a set of springs from napa that are 16.94" unloaded with a spring rate of 366 lb/in.for $88....would that give me about the same amount? i also noticed that the napa dimensions are the same as the tallest ones listed in the sticky thread post
im not really sure where to go from here, i dont want to lift so much that i cant align it, but still want the front end to look level
has anyone tried the coil spring spacers ive seen daystar makes them, but wonder how much stiffer the ride would be?
any help/advice is appreciated, id hate to buy springs that i cant return and wont fit on my truck...thanks!!
Have you measured the unloaded height of the stock springs?
I think mine are sagging a tad
The spacers shouldn't make the ride any stiffer
Like lift block, they just change where the spring sits
I did the lowering shackles on my 2wd and it wasn't quite as dramatic as I hoped
I've actually considered the daystar spacers

now the biggest spring run on an f150 is a cc824, which is also on the f250s, and that is the one that matches pretty close to the superlift springs...the springs on my truck now are 12'' loaded so they are either 818 or 820...if they are 820s then the 824 wont net a full inch because the spring rate is the same. but if they are 818s then the rate is 337 vs 366...will that be enough to hold the spring up or is the 844 my best bet because at 630lb/in, its doubtful that my fairly light front end will lower them much more than the 15.40 height?
im really sorry to ask weird stuff like this, im not sure i make any sense to you guys
btw the truck measures 3'' higher in the rear.....if my thinking is correct the 844 will be perfect, but i just want some reassurance
