You'll need a tuner to disable the EGR logic in order to keep the EGR codes from appearing since you deleted the EGR cooler. Also, you have to keep you EGR valve plugged in to insure you cooling fan works properly.
I pluged the EGR cooler back in. Codes 0403 & 0405 went away. Then came code 2284. Runs like crap unless you punch it, punched feels like + 25 hp. Idleing or cruising under 2500 rpm and it studders, and surges. I was told I it could be air in the HPOP, but after driving it 20 miles still the same.
PS how do you create the signiture so you don't have to identify your truck every time you post?
If I were you Id start a new thread the techs may not respond to a thread on tuner advice
here we go
P2284 C R Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit
Range/Performance
Default inferred ICP, ICP desired does not equal ICP signal,
difference of 362psi/2.5mpa.
Where is the best place to post or how should I word it? Got code from Scan Guage II. I am not sure where the IPC is, but I know I pugged all connectors in when reasembling. I double checked each one before I covered them up with accessories.

ok great we can check quite abit with your SGII
do you have the x-gauge for ICP and IPR yet if you do what are the readings
I have what you get when you open the package. I haven't messed with it much. Tell me what I need to do to get the information needed. I am pretty new to the needing to be a diesel mechanic to have a happy truck. I went from a 03' 7.3, to the 09' 6.4 with no problems, to my present situation. I thought if I baught one and did the necessary upgrades I would have a great truck, and maybe I will, with help from good guys like yourself. There would be alot of broke down trucks without the brotherhood displayed on these threads. I guess everyone remembers how it felt to get that first problem they couldn't figure out on there own, and the little bit of worry associated with it.
Id try these first and post your results for your drivability concerns
then go to this thread and theres is a bunch if you cant geta code to work hit me up or some of the other guys on that thread and there is sometimes an updated code
Swamp lizard, i followed DSMMH advise& did one bolt @ a time. While your taking the top of your engine apart, you could replace oil cooler that tends to have trouble, clean the turbo, etc. My mileage has gone up about 2 mpg's with custom tunes after all the other mods
I will give it a try and get back with you. Thanks. Wish there was a way to hook the scan guage up to a computer and download desired guages.
its easy at the main screen hit
more more more 3 times select x-gauge then hit edit
then enter
txd= the number code I listed
rxf= code
rxd= code
mth= code
and then name it
just like below these ones have the txd,rxf,rxd,mth next to the code you need to enter

this is how you see whats going on with your high ppressure oil system your code is for ICP P2284 right
ICP sensor= measures the HPO pressure
IPR actuator= contols the HPO
