No one was right..... loose nuts on engine side of cat!!! Actually they were the WRONG nuts.....prob from the headgasket repair a year ago......but I can't prove that.....but it wasn't the first time I found shoddy work from that repair. Many body bolts missing/loose from lifting the cab..... they yanked the plastic push screws from the rubber air dam under the grill.....Don't think I'll be using THAT dealer again.
Not what I heard.... mine was really a SCREECHING noise.....like a metal to metal scraping sound. But hey, it COULD be a beginning of what I had... easy enough to check...crawl under and try to wiggle the CAT pipe BEFORE it goes into the cat. Oh...be dang sure the pipe is COLD!
