Ok so i have just recently purchased a 1963 F 100 unibody. The truck originally was a 3 on the tree but the previous owner switched it to on the floor. Does anyone know what linkage i need because they just kind of threw something together.. It is the stock 3-speed Man.Trans. Any Other information about the truck will be greatly appreciated!
Welcome! Shoot over your VIN and the guys on here will tell you everything about it. Are you looking for the linkage for the floor shift or linkage to convert it back to column shift?
The OP has another thread in the Uni forum asking these same questions, has received several answers.
The VIN is not necessary, cuz there is no trans code contained within it.
The TRANS code is listed on the Warranty Plate, but...in this case...it's not required, since all 1963/83 F100's used the same Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncro trans.
Yeah that was me in the uni forum I posted in both. looking for all the help i can get. It was already converted from column to on the floor.. the linkage is present just not too sure if the linkage is the correct one for my truck because i am having a hard time adjusting it correctly.. The shifter has a ton of play and when i put it in 1st it goes all the way to my dash 2nd to my seat so on and so forth for 3rd n Rev..

Where in CA are you located? If in LA LA Land, I could swing by, take a look-see.
Numberdummy, my name is Jerry, a few weeks ago I asked you about a drive shaft boot that I can get for a 2002 Ford escape 4x4, you told me a guy on here that is more experienced in the newer parts . I forget who it was , can you please let me know again. Thanks Jerry, The original boot is unavailableI tried a rack and pinion boot and got 9in on there fine and it fit great, but twice only lasted 5 days then got hole in middle of it, I was told that the boot might not be as durable as a driveshaft boot, that is why it is happening , Any input would be great.
I'm located in El Monte, Ca L.A county. But the truck is at a friends house in lake paris. I have no place to store it because I am living in an apartment right now.

More experienced with newer parts? Experience has nothing to do with it. I can look up anything for any FoMoCo vehicle...if I have the apropos part catalog, but...
I have no car/truck parts catalogs that cover anything newer than 2001, so I cannot look up parts for a 2002 or later.
TALLBOY86B.CC: I'm 20 minutes from El Monte (depending on traffic on the 60 freeway) in Hacienda Heights, but I have no idea where Lake Paris is.
There's a Lake Mathews NW of Perris...SE of Corona. I have a pal who lives there that has several old rolling piles of misery.
