I just replaced the high pressure line. Is this system self bleeding? if not, how do I bleed the air out? I'm not a super mechanic, but can do basics like this stuff...Please Help
Jack up the front of the car (dont forget wheel chocks behind the rear wheels)and turn the steering wheel side to side. This should push the air out of the line.
Also check if your fluid is at the proper level. When I flushed my power steering, i was low on the level and the pump was whining, I thought it was air in the line until i checked the amount in the reservoir. I am not sure on a gasser but if you have a diesel, you need to add ATF not power steering fluid.
Good luck!
