Starter Issues
The other day I jumped in my truck and started it up, but the starter motor kept running as if I was still holding the key forward. I quickly turned the key back, and the starter kept going, even with the key completely out. I started the truck back up and after a second or two, the starter finally quit running. Once I got home a few minutes later, I shut the truck off, and no click, no starter motor. The radio and lights worked, but when I hooked up my battery tester it said it was dead. So i charged the battery back up, but still no starter. I put on a new solenoid that I had and same issue. The battery is only a few months old and so are the cables.
So the question is, is the started fried, or is it something worse? Anyone have any ideas?
