Hey if I post up a pic of the holley 2 barrel carb thats on my 352 will anyone be able to identify the cfm on it I bought it years ago and dont remember that much about the thing. Ill throw the numbers up that I can find on it too. I have a stock 4 barrel S manifold but if this is the big holley 2 barrel I just leave it for a while. I dont know that much about carbs so would apreciate all the help I can get.
Probably a 500, very popular. You get big black cloud when you accelerate?
These things have big accelerator pumps that cause smaller engines to bog then clean out with a black cloud and lots of "ooomph".

The 2300 series carbs (350/500 cfm 2V) are really just 1/2 of the Holley perf 4V. The 500 uses the same 50cc squirter as every 4V Holley carb (from the 390 cfm+). The size of the squirter has very little to do with the "black-smoke" (unless you are talking 4-banger here), but with any V8, the likely cause is the squirter activating too early or too late...all adjustible by the cam located on the linkage.

Thanks for the info guys. I believe its the 4412c so I wont have to post up a pic. Think for now Ill just leave that thing on top and save the 4 barrel for my 63. Thanks again.
