What is a high boy? i have a 1976 i just got and its a 4x4 explorer. f250

Do a search and you will find a lot of answers to this. My deffinition of a highboy is a 73-77.5 F.250 4x4 which FORD specifically made to enrage people which in the future would be trying to find a bed which would bolt in place, along with other random little hard to find "mystery" parts.

a lot of people with say diffrent things but basically 73-77 1/2 f250's 4x4's. they have divoriced tranfer cases with a 3rd drivshaft.

To my knoweladge the explorer was just a fancier trim level, paint job, chrome, etc.

The Ranger I really couldn`t say.

The custom was just whatever random stuff someone might have wanted, rocker panel chrome with a Lariat interior. It was just whatever they could think of. The custom could range from plane jane truck to a truck with all the bells and whistles.
