Overdrive Jerk
I have a 2005 F150 Lariat with a 5.4L engine with 169,000 miles. The last couple of days the truck is jerking when going up any type of incline or acceleration while in overdrive. If I take it out of overdrive it jerks a little but only on steep hills. I have not had any transmission problems and I did change the transmission fluid and filter at 100,000 miles. I am by no means transmission expert but I fear the worst. The check engine light is also on, which I'm unsure if the drivetrain will make this light come on. I have had 3 injectors replaced over the life of the truck but it's not acting quite the same as it has when it needed a new injector. Transmission or engine? Any thoughts?
