The old oil pressure sender on my 85 f150 is stuck and ive tried just about everything i know how to do to get it off. Is there some kinda stupid simple trick to get it off or what. Any help will be appreciated
Thanks,
Jonathan
Oh BTw it has an 81 engine in it if it makes any differance
ok I soked it in pb blaster for 2 days and tried to break it lose today, and it broke about an half inch from the block. What now
Weld a nut that fits over the part left over (if you don't weld, have someone do it for you): push a block of canning wax against the junction between engine block and the old stud, and let it cool. When it's cool, it ought to turn out. You'll need someone who is a good welder to pull this off. The wax will wick between the stuck nipple and the block and act as a lubricant.
Ok i got the old one off and the new one on.
I had to take the P-rod cover off, and there was a spot on what was left of the sender for a 9/16 wrench just like ctubutis said. Thanks for all the advice guys
