c6 transmission problems
My C6 transmission wont ever get down into first gear, only if I manually down shift will it drop into first. Was rebuilt about three years ago, and honestly I think it has always done this. Just never realized it, for the longest time I thought either it was a really soft shift or that I never went fast enough to hit third gear. Had a number two shift kit put in it, shifts moderately hard when my foots in it, so I would notice a shift. I've seen people talking about the vacuum modulator being a problem with shift points, but I'm not sure if the modulator could be causing my problem. I've ordered a new one, it was only like 14 bucks, but Just wondering if anyone might know why my tranny doesn't start in first.

Stosh, It has been a while, but there is a screw inside the mod valve that can be adjusted. You have to pull the vac. hose off to access.
Seem that you need a long small straight screwdriver and you make half & quarter turns to get it where you want it.
