Yup connector even lights up when I plug it in.

My biggest concern is that it is telling me its the wrong hardware (see first post picture) if it was saying not connected I would lean that way but its not...

Alright, I checked the fuse just to be sure and it was fine. Tried the connector in a 2001 F-250 with the same result also tried in a 2007 Nissan Murano for giggles same result.

I also tried checking the serial cable box on the connection configuration. Same error message.

I'm going to say it's just my luck, (Jim rat49 and Jason SkySkiJason about it!) and going to say the conector is bad. Thanks for all the ideas and help. I'll call AE in the morning.

Yeah, I'm thinking you are right. It is seeing you have the hardware, just not the right hardware. It's going to be something AE is going to have to straighten out, if even they can do it. Have all you numbers ready when you call, they are very helpful, but it will probably be tomorrow.

I had to have the vendor I purchased from, Fax a copy of the paperwork to AE to get mine initialized.

I think I bought mine from a reputable source.....

Besides he is one of the few business owners I know that you can and actually call and talk to him!

Just got off the phone with AE. All is good now, they had the work serial number recorded for the connector.
