You really need to loosen the pipes at the exhaust manifolds (don't remove all of the bolts - just loosen) to properly line everything up. Is the exhaust pipe to the turbo seated properly?

Take your time and don't drive it when they pipes are in a bind, the heat cycle can and does cause a misaligned system to fail at the expansion joints.

Be sure that you soak the bolts at the manifold bolts LIBERALLY with penetrating oil and let them sit for a few minutes, at least, before trying to loosen them. It will take a 10mm wrench on top and a 13mm on bottom.

oh......you might want to loosen at the EGR cooler flange just a tweak too. Like Mark said....it needs to be relaxed/unbound when you put it back together to prevent cracking a flex joint down the road. The pipe to manifold connection is VERY forgiving but at the turbo.......NOT.

ok we got it on and think we ran out of thread to tighten the bolt OR the it needs a new clamp. It fit together perfectly but still leaks. Any ideas?? And can you only get those clamps from a ford dealership?

if there is not enugh bolt left you have overtightened it and dystoryed it. if its still leaking then you have soemthing misaligned or incorectly insatlled.
