TPS and idle issues

97 ford e 150 4.2L 180000 miles

I replaced the TPS after the diagnostic showed it was faulty and it tested bad. Now the idle surges, though it didn't do that before. The diagnostic showed a misfiring 6th cylinder as well and i'm not sure if it has anything to do with it or what I should do next. I could really use some help, thanks

Sometimes the TPS needs to be adjusted. I'm not sure on your application. I know that you will need a volt meter to do it.

There's no adjustment on the TPS itself. I fixed the misfire, but it's still surging. I've been told to drive it for 20 miles and let the CPU recalibrate, otherwise check vacuum hoses. we'll see
