Rubber hose hold?

Put on an S-300 turbo, for the drain tube I took a chuck of rubber fuel hose and went from the turbo drain to the plate on the engine, you think that will be good enough for a drain tube? Will the hose hold up?
Thanks

What plate on the engine? You mean on the back of the block for the stock drain?

Yes, you can use that. What did you do make a pedestal with and drain through it? You can also use the hole in the middle of the valley that was for the OBS fuel pump.

Yes I made a plate that sits on top of the block, use the stock drain and feed holes. Drilled holes to match the stock holes, tapped them, and threaded fittings in for the drain and feed lines. For the drain I just used a threaded nipple hose fitting, ran a rubber fuel hose from that up to the drain on the turbo, the hose has about a 90* bend but in the middle I just put a small hose clamp so the drain hose can't kink.

I would use a good oil resistant hi-temp hose. Trans cooler, or p/s return hose, is better suited for oil than fuel hose. Fuel hose will soften and swell from extended contact with hot oil.

What size did you use for the drain?
