The original mickey mouse mirrors on both the driver side and pass. side of my truck are broken. The drivers side inner door bracket is broken and the mirror vibrates like crazy and is pretty much useless. I tried fixing it, but apparently the metal used for the braket is imune to the power of JB Weld. The pass. side is a different story. It fell victim to a close call with a large oak tree on a tight trail. Knocked it clear off at the breakaway point. Luckily I was able to JB Weld it in place temporarily.
Anyways, i want to replace them with the F250 fold away tow mirrors. I'v been looking around and i found some generic look-a-likes at pepboys. I'v thought about a trip to the junk yard to find some off an F250, but i fear i wont find any in usable shape.
Is there any suggestions as to the modifications that need to be made or whether to go with the look-a-likes or try to find a nice pair at the junk yard? Are there any issues with not having the inner door support? The broken support on my truck makes the door really flimsy, will i have the same issue with the fold aways?
Any ideas, suggestions or help is really appreciated. There isn't a rush to fix this, but im really getting tired or wobbly, rattly mirrors.

I have a set of those I would be willing to sell. I bought them a long while back for a project that never materialized. Let me open up the box and see what kind of condition they are in. If your are interested I can take some pics.
