power problem fuel injection pump
power problem fuel injection pump
I was directed to this section of the forum with this post:
I was using a test light to check power at the fuel shut off solenoid/fuel injection pump and accidentally grounded it out. I did have power at first but no power now and have checked the fuses and everything is good there and the power distribution box under the brake booster.Since all fuses are good, I cannot find any fusible links either
I also have to use starting fluid every time I start it as there seems to be no power going through the solenoid for the glowplugs in which I am going to replace
I have the driveway blocked and need to get this thing going, can anyone help me please

You should be able, as a temporary measure, to run +12V to the fuel shutoff solenoid in order to get the engine running so you can move the truck, if you need to.
First off welcome to the forum. Second what year of truck do you have? A place to start is to check the fuseable link in the wiring harness on the passenger side. It is on the chassis sidebefore the main connector that goes to the engine. The fuel heater died on my 90, and this is where I found the fuseable link.
Thanks Flainn, I did that this am and moved the truck. The relay worked fine when I put power to the fss. I will check for that fusible link farmert and see if I can find it. The year of the truck is a 1993 E350 cutaway van
