I have a Scangauge. I plug it in and it allows me to read coolant temp, intake air temp, transmission temp, manifold pressure, and a whole lot more. I don't have the hassle or expense of running wires throughout the truck nor do I have warranty problems by drilling and tapping things that otherwise shouldn't be.

The Aeroforce Interceptor is setup for a standard gauge pod and would work great for your setup. That would be my better idea!
