Agree with caper. The brakes are capable of applying substantially more torque to the wheels than the engine can.

in another, isn't that supporting the tire brand and tread life and in the long run not really helping? i mean,if they just keep selling them, then why would they bother changing?
im too upset to take an offer.i expected much more for my $.i wont support them.i was hoping to find more overall recommendations on good tires here too but nothing that stands out as a true leader.back to just running cheap rubber? makes ya mad when you pay double the price and don't even get the same results as cheap tires.

my records show 19k miles.iv run them another 5k miles more when really i know i shouldn't have but i payed so much for them i milked them for all they're worth.
(they wont pass safety inspection next month.not even close.)
Michelin should be ashamed charging so much for these trash tires.
That's not true either.... My AT/2's wont' see 40k before they loose their traction due to the design.. I called it at 25K last set I owned and I got credit on them too back in 2010. I'll get at least 50k out of these MS/2's. I've had 2 previous set's on my 6.7's.So they're good tires. Also I had 12k when I got rid of these latest (that came with the truck) AT/2's on them. So I'm happy.. Better traction on the MS/2's from the get go.

I'm a fan of the MS/2's too. My original Michelin 20" on my 2015 have 16,500 on them and look brand new. Dealer confirmed at last oil change. They are fine.
