Ive noticed a squeak in the front left tire of my truck an today i finally jacked it up an confirmed it does all the time when you spin the tire. I also know that both dust seals on the axle have dry rotted away. I need to replace these seals an fix the squeak anyone know the part numbers an whats wrong?
There is a couple of things I would look at. The slide pins in the brake caliper might be holding the pads against the rotor.
Or the front hub bearings are going bad.
The dust seals on the axles are a common problem for coming out.
Check here and you can find some good info on hubs and brake pins. Welcome to guzzle's Ford PSD Web Pages
As Hammer said. The dust seals are crap.I replaced both of mine and in a month one had popped out.No real good way to keep them in there and I did not see a real ''good'' purpose for them. Here is some good reading.
