brake problem

When I press the brake pedal to stop I feel the brakes start to work but if I push the pedal further the brakes wont apply any greater pressure until the pedal is almost to the floor. The rear brakes are also locking up on a few occasions. The ABS light is on.

Broke again

The cable in the rear brakes broke again. Is this common?

SO I double checked the rear brake self adjust hardware and it seems that Napa parts are not working correctly. The self adjust lever is not touching any of the teeth on the adjuster star. Anyone else find this issue?

Is the adjustment pawl arm supposed to touch the star wheel from the top or bottom?
