Mine has a leak that lets air in but no fuel out. I have been looking for it for almost a year. If you are careful and hold the pedal down. You can crank it in less than 30 seconds. I usually break that up 2 or 3 times with a few second to cool between. I never said that it was good for the starter just that it would crank a lot faster with the pedal down and you won't need a battery charger.
In a perfect world we would all do things the way it was suppose to be done but unfortunately we live in one where sometimes you just have to get the job done now any way you can and then work on getting it right later.
