I have a vibration that only shows up at 65 mph or more in my Excursion. It has been there a while and I have put in new ball joints, new tires and alignment, also u-joints have been replaced. Rear end fluid is fresh as is engine oil.
It is not very noticeable with no load but when I pull our 8000# camper it is much more noticeable. If I put it in neutral it does not stop and when I rev it up it doesn't seem to follow engine speed. Also I have no lift other than asome leveling blocks in the front.
Ideas? like I say it is almost not noticeable without the camper so I haven't worried too much about it and I usually tow at less than 65, but I don't want anything to fall apart on me haha.
Maybe have the tire shop re-check the balance on the new tires- Had this happen to me last year on a new set & one of the fronts was out of balance & it would only show up above 62 mph like a bad dream. Finally after 2 attempts at re-balancing they got it straightened out. Could also try having 2 fronts moved to rears & see if it is better.
