My truck has two different headlights in it right now. All i can figure is the previous owner broke one and replaced it with a different one. Whats a good set to put in it?
If you have a pic of them on your truck that would be even better
93 what you are not saying is what year your truck is but either way if its 73/79 with round or sqare headlights i run hella or bosh with either stock haligine bulbs or 80/100 watt with a hd wireing harness with relays [if you do a lot of highway driveing and the law is lax where you are] stay away from the so called after market repos as i have tried them and threw them away as the light pattern sucks [they do not put light on the road where you acualy need it] so for about a 100 or so you can see well hope this helps
Been real happy with my sylvania silverstars. $40.00 bucks but worth the money for extra brightness. You should do the relay mod though if you haven't yet.
A vote for the Hella replacement housing and bulbs, best light pattern I have seen, Also wiring with relays directly to Alternator works well. Some say it shortens the life of the bulbs, I have been running these same bulbs since the late 80's.

Sry. I tend to forget to put what i have.lol I have a 74 f250 4x4
I've gotten great service out of my old 7" round "GE + 25" sealed beams over trhe last 25 years on my '77. They still work great. Don't think I'bve seen them on a shelf in years.
Don't need that HID mess, but the 7" H-4 conversions would be OK though.
If you have the rectangular lights and do a lot of night time driving, like i do, i highly recommend
GE H6054HO (2B1)
These things are advertised as 80% more light and 2x longer life, and don't require rewiring of the stock harnesses.
I like the high output as it doesn't just reach wider, but farther in front, so i can spot deer and other critters before coming up on them. When i hit the high beams the whole area just lights up. I love them and bought my last set from Amazon because all the local auto parts stores are now carrying the cheaper Sylvania bulbs now. sigh.
Be warned though, that some other drivers may flash their brights at you when your lowbeams are on, because these things are so bright. But i gaurantee they are nowhere near as bright/blinding as all these fancy vehicles with their HID lights. Man i had those when they come right at me.
I believe that's what they were called. They are halogens and i think they work great. Puts a nice wide beam of light in front of the truck and I don't get anyone flashing me with their brights. Proper adjustment is essential too.
