I'm sure we're all getting pretty disgusted with those who seem to take great delight in demeaning our armed forces and making life miserable for them, such as the Hollywierd elite slamming them at every turn and Pep Boys Auto Parts terminating reservists as soon as they get called up.
Well, I have two examples of what's RIGHT with America and would like to encourage you to support them both.
The first is Bruce Willis, the actor.
Not only has he been very supportive of the effort to liberate Iraq, he sent President Bush a letter offering to volunteer for active duty. President Bush thanked him for the offer, but felt we had a sufficient number of troops.
Next time Bruce makes a movie, go see it and let him know that it was because of his support for the troops and the President.
The second is Sears, the retail chain.
They have gone beyond what is required by law for employers of Guard and Reserve members. The law requires only that employers keep the job available for those called to active duty, and do so for a period of two years. They are not required to provide benefits in the meantime.
Sears has not only been holding the job for those called up, but has been providing health and other benefits to the members families. In addition, Sears has been making up the difference between the members normal pay and what they recieve during active deployment..
So I would like to encourage you to patronize Sears, and let them know it's because of thier support for the troops.
All I will say to Pep Boys is that if what you said is true, they will be having lawsuits brought against them, and they will lose. I know peoplewho have brought suits up against their past employers for taking away their jobs when called up.
I like to hear things like that. It's good to know who I SHOULD support along with who I should not.
I need a new circular saw...maybe I'll get the DeWalt I saw in the Sears ad.
Also, I always hated Pep Boys, so it doesn't break my heart that I won't be shopping there. What a crock, putting corporate interests ahead of America, though I guess that's not an original concept...

I always did like that guy ever sinc the Blue Moon Detective agency. What was his name on that show, David Adison.
And Sears is my Mecca, MY garage holds mostly only Craftsman mechanics tools, and I recently switched to the pro grade and gave all my oldies to my son.
Also out here Orchard supply hardware is owned by Sears and I use my card there.
Great post .
