Correct me if im wrong. Ive been craigslist shopping. i have also read on google that dodge wheels 5x5.5 will fit our trucks. So my question is, Will the dodge ram 20's from the later models fit our trucks?
Anyone know which Dodge wheels fit? I have 10 1/2 inch wide bullet holes, which I like in the back, but limit how much i can lower the front. So i need some narrower wheels, plus I always like to be a little different lol!!!
Don't quote me, but I believe the Ram 1500's have been using 6 lug wheels for several years. The Ram 2500 & 3500 still use the 8 lug on 6.5" wheels that have been around a long time. Ford switched to the hub centric metric 8 lug wheels on the F250 & F350 when the Superduty models came out in 1999.5.
The Ram1500's still use 5-5.5 bolt pattern wheels. The problem won't be with the bolt pattern, it will be with the offset. The new Dodge wheels hava a very positive offset and require billet spacers to fit properly. Also the center hole will be too small for older 4x4 applications. The newer Dodges also use large 9/16 lug studs so the wheels have large stud holes, you would need to use duplex lug nuts. Long story short, I wouldn't use them on an older Ford.
jhooch is absolutely right. I tried a set of 16" dodge wheels from an 84 or so with my 72 F-100. The front ones were OK, but the back rubbed the inside of the wheelhouses.

Thanks for the correction, I was thinking of early 90's and up Chebby & GMC that went to a 6 lug wheel on the half-tons.
What is the stud size on a 1968 F250 C/S with #6900 GVW...1/2 or 9/16? I would go look for myself except the truck is stored out of state. I have a nice set of 2007 Dodge chrome wheels & tires (17x8 rims with 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern) that I'd like to use on the F250. The Dodge studs are 9/16 if I recall.

Should be 1/2 inch studs, the offset would worry me the most, those newer Dodge wheels have a pretty positive offset.
