Just ordered my 428 stroker. 6-8 weeks away (apparently it takes 4 weeks just for the custom pistons)
428 at .030 over , I guess that's 4.16"
4.125" SCAT Stroker Crank
Custom Pistons to get 10.5 CR with Ed Al heads (FE Guru at Flatlander claims this is pump gas friendly with the Al Heads, let me know if you all disagree).
When the wife finds out what this costs, I'm gonna be a batchelor again.
I'll be matching this with the Ed RPM intake, 750 Ed Carb, All MSD iginition with Billet Dizzy and probably the Crower Cam I have already broke. I'll probably consider other cams over the next 2 months.
with a rebuilt C6, 4.10 gears, big disks up front and power steering. I hope it's complete by the end of the summer. I hope it's paid for by the Boat Show in Janurary :-)
I think I ran your setup successfully, but I can't figure out how to get the graph as a picture. (I have been running very similar setups, since my 428 Stroker is on the way and I'll be using the same heads, intake, and carb).
The short story looks pretty good:
438 HP at 5500 RPM
483 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM
hi i just found out this weekend my fe is really a 360, talk about ******. anyway i have a 360 standard stroke and bore, an edelbrock performer intake, for now a 750 carb and heddman headers with 1 3/4 primaries. and everything else is stock. can you give me a rough guess at the hp and torque, i know i don't have enough numbers for you to plug it in your desktop dyno. but i 'm just wondering how much power i'm going to lose over a 390. thanks
I don't know for sure but I'd say your probably lookin at roughly 220-250 hp and somewhere between 300-350ft lbs of torque. i know that's pretty broad but i hope it gives you an idea
Hey Rat. I know this thread is kinda old and I'm not sure if you can still do this or not but I figured it's worth a try. Didn't have the cam card yet back when this was hot. Just got my truck back with the new motor in it and sure would like some numbers if you have time. Here are all of the specs I could round up:
1) Bore X Stroke
4.11 x 3.78
2) Head info:
Edelbrock Performer RPM FE
.100=88/64 .200=153/113 .300=195/148 .400=233/171 .500=265/183 .600=270/200
3) Carb Size
Holley 750 Dual Feed
4) What intake you have
Edelbrock Performer RPM
5) Compression Ratio
