Replacement body panels
I was in a accident a few years ago, and I've finally had enough with looking at the dents. I need a new drivers side door, front drivers fender, and a new bedside and tailgate(I may just try to find a new bed)
Is there any difference between a manual lock/window door vs. power DL/Windows other than the interior trim? I should be able to swap over the interior paneling/wiring relatively easy.
I've read its best to avoid non factory parts? Are they really that bad? This truck has 189,000 miles and is 12 years old, so I'm not looking for absolute perfection.
Other than perusing the local craigslist/junk yards/car-part... Are there any other sources for body parts? How about non-OEM manufacturers?
I'm mainly having difficulty finding a good door. Half of the ones I find are partially burned or damaged in some way, and their still listed for $350-$550 and 50+ miles away.
