OK, so I dont post a great deal here, but I read quite a lot of the posts and some things I have read has just gotten me pretty riled up.
In my opinion and experience (albeit a short one) with this new F-350 6.7 is that it is probably the best diesel trucks out there with the 6.7 engine being top notch.
I bought the 2009 F-150 when it was first redesigned. I had a few issues. For those of you who upgrade to what you consider "THE NEWEST OR BEST" then you should by golly realize that there are going to be a few issues (computer, engine components, etc) which will have to be worked out.
Every vehicle out there is produced at a factory on an assembly line...there are going to be issues whether it is a new design or an old one. I believe that Ford has done a good job of testing this new engine.
Am I completely satisfied with the Truck...well, yes and no...there are a few things that **** me off (doors not sealing well, the eyeglass pos not aligning properly, etc) but I will tell you something, if I want to hook a line to the bottom of my house, I can pull the darn thing off the foundation.
For those of you who hate the 6.7....carry your **** down to the dealer and get rid of it.
You're assuming that people are reasonable and don't act emotionally when it comes to their toys. Love what you're saying....common sense and all that!
The center upper console (on the roof) which holds sunglasses. Just simply not aligned and poorly designed. (hate to use this term but....for a 60K dollar truck....lol)
I had a tree come down after a recent storm, it's well over a 100 year old Walnut. Hooked the beast up to it and in idle, she yanked that sucker away without a deep breath. Truck is a monster for sure....end of rant

OK, gotcha. Also, if you haven't already, do the Epic seal mod and all of your sealing issues will vanish. Yes, stuff like this should be perfect from the factory but it sounds like Ford truck door seals have been an issue for years. My '94 F250 seals were horrible but I assumed it was because they were old seals.
$35 and a little bit of my time = my '11 door seals are tight.

I saw this project, and as soon as I have time (relocating <pcs for military> and am busier than a one arm paperhanger.
Is Epic just simply an awesome contributor or what....

My favorite line on this forum...... Its like your $8,000 Hyundai should have all kinds of problems being its so cheep. But my $55,000 Ford truck should have zero problems being its $55,000. I think people forget that you paid $55,000 for the 6.7 diesel, the towing capacity, the nice AC seats and all the other luxuries you might have. Some of the most unreliable cars out there are $130,000 Ferarri's.
