Front Brakes Locking Up
It's like the e brake is on...but it's not. Any ideas guys?
Right now Plan A is to have it towed to a buddy's shop in the AM (I'm not comfortable driving it as is the 8 miles to his shop) and having his crew look it over.

If the brakes are dragging a good inspection is in order. If the truck is off the ground the wheels should rotate freely. If you feel the drag you can slightly loosen the caliper bleeder. If a small amount of fluid comes out and it releases, then it is a restriction in the hydraulic system keeping the brakes applied. If the caliper continues to drag, then it is a mechanical drag that could be cause by the slider pins, bores, or a binding caliper piston.
The caliper pins on these trucks have a tendency to freeze or become hard to slide due to rust, corrosion, or old dry lube in the bores. When the pins are removed they should not be pitted or worn. The bores can be cleaned with a small round wire brush and brake clean, and then wiped out dry.
If you are performing a brake job be sure all areas that support movement are cleaned thoroughly. Lightly lube the pins and these areas using a good quality hi-temp synthetic brake lubricant to keep it from binding up again.
The slide pins were frozen in the brackets. He replaced the brackets and treated the new pins with anti-seize...problem resolved.
That'll teach me to pay attention to ALL of the moving parts!
Thanks Dudes...Ya'll get a free trip to Joe's beer fridge and if ya stop by on a weekend, we'll throw an extra piece of beef on the grill for ya!
