Closed knuckle dana 44 front and dana 60 rear matching. 4.10 gears. $300 should I buy them? 300 is for the pair. They are out of a 75 ford..

300 isnt bad, but thats a drum front brake iirc. it cost too much to swap it to disc. you can find a d44 HD 8 lug out of a 78-79 for 300-400 and a 10.25 rear for $100 and you have disc front and a great rear end.

also, that d60 rear wont have a vss so you cant run it in your truck since you have electronic gauges. if you lived close enough, ive got a d44 HD 8 lug front with disc and the vss 10.25 posi 4.10 gear rear for $500 for the pair.

why not? the regular cab f250 would be a ttb d44. you'd be just fine if your not lookin to run larger then 35's and you dont go crazy off roadin it. but NO front drum unless you like free coasting down hills on a 4% or steeper decline or if you pull a trailer.

Yes that's the pin. I was looking at a trac lock posi brand new for 350. Easy swap but don't kno if its worth. I need a new front axle also. I get passed 55mph and the front end hops like crazy!! Ball joints were replaced last year and tires have been balanced twice. No clue wat the cause is
