I will give it a shot tonight or tomorrow nights. Previous commitments keeping me from it. I assume I can just take a piece of electrical wire and strip both ends to short them?

Thanks for all your help Bill. I did do the test you told me and the relay did click. I just don't know what the actual problem was (which is the bad thing from my perspective). I gingerly put everything back together and checked along the way to make sure it was still working and it is.

I did learn a few things. I now know what a fusible link is and kind of how it works and I know how to check the fuel pump relay.

Thanks again to all who offered some help. Maybe one day I will be able to help someone on this forum in return.
