Unhappy I've an electrical nightmare

Hi, Im a newby here. I need help. The following accessories are not working; 4x4 selector, all interior lights, map lights, sunroof, day running lights, wipers front and rear, washer front, all power windows. ok these functions are always out except when I put the key in ignition and start the engine these function will work as the interior lights come on and if I hold down a window switch while cranking the windows will work for a second or two then I hear a click under the dash and all fails again. Could this be one of the relays to the right of the steering column? I did have a bad battery for a while which screwed up my alternator. I have replaced both of these. Problem still exists. Thx Eric

All of the absent functions except DRL have one thing in common: They're all controlled by the GEM module or have power supplied via the Battery Saver Relay which is controlled by the GEM.

I would first check the four fuses that supply power under certain conditions to the GEM module. They are (and the mode they're hot in):

F10 RUN
F20 RUN/ACC
F25 ALWAYS HOT
F28 START

If all the fuses are good, check for power at the fuse's terminals with the ignition switch in the indicated position. You might have a misadjusted or defective ignition switch.

The relays you're hearing are unlikely to be the problem. They are likely part of the symptoms.

Question

Hi thx for the reply. DRLs are ok now. Fuses are good, probed with these results, not too sure what to make of them... I'll tell you all you wanna know about guns but when it comes to auto electrics.... DUH lol. OK...

F10 RUN...............0.01
F20 RUN/ACC.......12.18
F25 ALWAYS HOT.11.71
F28 START..........12.28

I did notice F28 on probing and turning key to start interior lights came on for a second and then I could hear that relay trip out again..

Hope you can help.... Thx Eric

Check the main feed wire from the battery to the fuse panel, corrosion inside the case causing high resistance.... Philip

Repair the F10 circuit, it's dead according to those readings.
