Like an idiot, I forgot to torque the lug nuts after a brake job & hammered the studs through the hub. Fortunately the wheel stayed on (Thank God!)
Unfortunately, all I seem to be able to find are ones like the one pictured on the right, which are 1/2" 'too tall', have a "shoulder' for a pressed on drum, and a notch on the rim of the flange. All features mine don't have. They won't work on my spindles as the outer bearing would ride on the threads for the castle nut.
Mine damaged original is on the left.
I need a good used front hub for my 2wd '66 custom cab long bed with auto trans & 352 V8. Anyone parting out a likely donor?
Hmmm...Well, anyone even seen a hub that looks like mine on an F100? Perhap it's not a stock hub & spindle? It's not like I've seen a lot of them like some people on this forum.
That's very kind of you! I'm not sure when you plan on doing the swap, but if it's soon, I might have to take you up on that offer. However, this is my daily driver and I do need a replacement ASAP. It's kind of hard getting groceries on a motorcycle.
