coolant leaking from bell housing

this is a van (E not F 150)
check the coolant lines on the upper manifold...might be a metal fitting that plumbs into the upper manifold ?? easily seen from inside the passenger side with (dog house removed) not sure where the heater core and lines are , but make sure your heater core isn't leaking
If no to the coolant lines/heater core, then look at the frost plugs.

Leak
Had the intake on the wifes 97 Merc 4.6 crack somewhere on the back of the intake manifold (plastic one) and it leaked down the back of the engine. IIRC the mechanic said it was near the passenger side rear where it cracked. I think the trucks have a metal intake but thought I remember reading of some fitting in the area rotting or breaking that did the same thing.
Good luck

Under the intake in the block valley, look on the back of the water pump housing. There should be a small nipple coming out of the block with a black tube that plugs into it. The leak is filling up your valley and overflowing down the back of the block and onto the bellhousing.
