I have a 97 F150. My cousin had a 99 F150 that he totalled. He had an Edge programmer in it that he will give me for next to nothing. However, he just pulled the programmer when he went to get everything out of the truck, he didnt "reset" it. He says that the programmer was set on 3 or 4 at the time he rolled it.
Now its my understanding that in order to use an edge on a different vehicle, the vehicle it was on has to be reset back to stock. This can not be done because the truck is in pieces and long gone now.
So my question is, can I get this and have it sent in to edge and pay to get it cleared? Or what are my options?
If I put it in my truck I would like to be able to utilize it, not have it stuck on one setting and I would mainly use it for towing so if it is set at 3 or 4 im kinda S.O.L....
