Pyrometer gauge has stopped working and would like to test the gauge and the prob to see witch one i need to replace or both.I have ran all the wires down and are all conn good and tite. The probe still looks good to so any help would great. thanks Josh
If it uses a thermocouple, you should be able to take the two wires off the gauge, and then put a ohmmeter on both probe wires and get continuity or almost zero ohms through the probe if it's good.

never in 35 years of driving diesels have i seen a gauge go bad. it has always been the thermocouple. the one gauge i replaced was because i put a pyrometer in an older off road only site truck that did not have one, and decided to put the new gauge in the newer truck.
Tom, Dave thanks for your help ill try to check it tomorrow and see what i get got a trip comming up pulling and need to get it fixed....ill get back with yall and let you know what it reads...
