4 speed makin noises

Ok so I got a 79 f150 with a 351w and a 4speed. Ive just starting hearing a weird noise down by the tranny. Its only above 30mph and is not very loud. II can't quiet make out what kind of sound it is. Il be going 50mph hold in the clutch and pop it in neutral and still there. Not sure what's happening. Anything under 30mph it goes away. Any help would be great.

is it a whine, grind, chatter, whistle.....get the idea yet? We can't really help if we are just going to guess the sound your 4spd is making. Is it a NP435 or a T-18? Does it have oil in it?

Not to sure which one it is. I haven't looked at the tag yet. It is full of oil and its clean. Its more of a whine. Definitly not a chatter or grind

I know the whine you are talking about, but I can't think of what causes it right now. Post this in the drivetrain section, I'm sure they will answer fast.
