i just watched the new gears episode . dodge has one upped ford and gm , and in the process probably gonna sell a lot of vehicles . so i hope ford is paying attention .................. they're offering the express . a short bed 1/2 ton 5.7 litre 390 horse truck , as they as well as the others won't offer a stripper muscle car , with roll up windows etc. . just bare bones go fast haul a$$ like i want / have wanted . i contacted ford , and my local dealer about a stang like this and got told no way . the truck retails after incentives for 21,000 guys . i have been seriously window shopping for a new vehicle as even i get the new bug every once in awhile , and as much as i hate too say it that express fills the bill very nicely . fast , bare bones , cheap fun and too boot it's a truck capable of work . so FORD are you paying attention ???? we don't want or need all the gee gaws and automatic butt wipers on anything !! just cheap fast light kick **** transportation !!! so c'mon get it in gear and build us die hard ford guys something to combat the onslaught of the soon to be express armies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+1 i agree 100%. Ford just isent like they use to be... theres more electronic crap then there is power and i found that out after tearing trhough an 01 F350 7.3 motor. they have all these doohickies that are absolutly pointless. such as when the air comes into the air filter and through the condensor to cool it to get it redy to run through the turbo there is a sensor that heats it back up! what for?? dang GOV telling these companies to take it easy on emmisions and its just destroying good ol work trucks...
Though I have always had Fords, I have to admit I like the Isuzu and Cummins diesels and the trans behind them. And GM has had a lot of innovation in features for the work trucks that Ford is playing catch up with. But I still question the quality of the rest of the truck. So I think I am sticking with Ford for the foreseeable future. Whatever problems I have with my truck, I have a good place to find the answers here at FTE. And past the problems, the people here can't be beat.

agreed, all trucks really have there perks... the Cummins has a reliable and very powerful cummins with a trans, the duramax has some REALLY good suspension but the rest of the truck is horable.... and Ford has.... well better everything else.... but my eventual project is turnin my truck into a diesel had planned on taking a 90's model cummins and takin the body off and droppin my old pickup onto it. little Fab here and there and then i got a Ford with a cummins Motor
A while back somebody was putting a Cummins in their Ford. I think there are parts made to do it. Don't know that much about it myself. Maybe do a search and find it.

yea it was on a show, it was called super dually! they took a 2010 biggest dodge diesel they could get and removed the framework and fabriccated a 70's Ford F350 to fit it. its actually a good idea cause the truck already has the suspension/trans/tune that it needs to be a diesel and just replacing the frame
you could probobly do that, since its already a diesel and has the specs it could be done, but my truck isent a diesel lol and its old... so i still got the twin I beam suspension which wouldnt work for a diesel.
