Can I bypass a failed express down window module?
93 Explorer XLT: I think the express down window module is bad (part #F2DB-14B118-AB), and I'm having trouble readily locating an affordable replacement that I trust spending money on. Can I remove the express down module and jumper any combination of the connection/wires allowing me to remove the module and just have the window operate like any of the other windows? I would want to do this with aligator clips/wires if possible so that it's not permanent, I think I'll eventually get the part I need somewhere. Meanwhile the A/C doesn't work (gonna convert it later to newer r-134) and I'm burning up in the drivers seat as the weather gets hotter!
Oddly enough, sometimes the driver's window works when it's very hot & sunny, but soon as the sun sets or clouds/rain sets in and the temp drops, it stops working. But it doesn't consistently work when it's hot. Just sometimes.
