i have a trans thats kicking my ***...its a 1995 f150 4x4
trans was rebuilt before i got the truck and everything was fine,,than it started shifting hard...
i got another trans from craigslist out of a 96 bronco and installed it..it was stuck in gear
long story short ,,i took apart both and mixed match parts not knowing thats a do not do..
i have no clue now as to what trans was in truck and what i got on craigslist...all i know is the parts inside are different when i removed the front pump and the valve bodys are different
i did find some info that shows the difference in type 1 and 2...valvebodys here
i have a 2wheel e4od and was going to change output shafts but before i do i want to try to get the valve body problem fixed first..to see if thats the cause...

The FORD E4OD manuals are the most detailed with photos of every operation of tare down and assemble, it also comes with a trouble-shooting section, theory of operation and diagrams of the oil flow in each gear. It is 3 inches thick and just covers the E4OD. There are two E4OD manuals, one for the 1989 -1993 and one for the 1994-1998.
