I have pulled big trailers like that with a dump truck. I am not sure I would try it with a 250. DRW would be better. Do you have a 1 ton jack of any kind? See if it will lift the tongue. How are your tires and brakes? Does the trailer have brakes? What about a license plate? Here in NJ I have contractor tags. I can put them on anything, but the truck has to be registered for the full weight of everything. If you are going to do it make sure you have another truck behind you.

Let me nit pick for a second here.

As far as I'm concerned we are all asking the wrong question here. Our question should not be "Can I pull it?" but rather "Can I stop it?"

These trucks will pull a LOT of weight. Stopping is much more difficult than starting out.

Not trying to step on anyone's toes here just voicing my opinion.

I think most people roll that into the question "can I pull it"

1997 Park Model Trailer
I did a search and found a 07 35ft Elite Park Model Traveline trailer and it is only 5500lbs dry, so go from that. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...-/110688406454

Park model trailers are actually mobile homes so I would be very Leary about even attempting to hook up to it as they do not have brakes! they rely on the tow vehicle to stop them. They can weigh in excess of 30k you better be sure of what you're getting into! Chances are they got a quote from a mover and are choking on it, so looking for options.

If it the pic in your original post then I think you'll be okay. I was just thinking of something different. I haul about 13000 lbs with no extra brakes and seem to manage. Also that wdh will make a huge difference on that style trailer. Good luck! Just use your own judgement when you drop it on the ball!

Park models have brakes and so do modile homes. Know the pads aint very thick due to being parked more than pulled but they got brakes.

I pulled bigger park model 2800 miles with my F450 and no WD bars.
Park models are lighter than travel trailers since they don't have much in them. 39' long with 8' ceilings was rated at 8800lb.
I had some issues with fishtailing since the trailer was rear heavy, but carrying 800 lb of beer I reloaded it into the front of the trailer, what solved the problem.
Check the short tongue on them. It might interfere with your tailgate on sharp turn.

There must be two different "park models" in the south west a park model trailer is approx. 10' wide x 40' long and will have full drywall dual pane windows ceramic tile full trussed roof usually with tile! In Az only 1 axel needs brakes and that axel always gets pulled, swapped with a roller by the hauler, and they are usually over width Az is 102" max. Most park models are 120"!

Just saw the link on your post! That little thing? You wont even know it's back there! Just a w/ d hitch and you are off to the races, or the campgrounds as it may be, but you will be fine!
