I have a 2002 Ford Escape 4x4, it is actually my daughters, the other day I accidentally ripped the boot that is on the front part of the driveshaft, this is a 2 part driveshaft, ford says you cant get just the boot for the driveshaft , cant find aftermarket one either, to get the boot you have to buy the driveshaft I guess? I am no mechanic. Does any body out there have any solutions for me and would any body out there happen to have a old bad driveshaft that I can get a boot from, these boots are similar on several vehicles, Thanks Please help
Go to rockauto.com and enter the truck details. Then from the list, click on "drivetrain" and then on "cv boot" for a list of around six different makes of boot, including the quick fit one.
Thanks for your efforts, very mutch appreciated, but the boot I need is not a CV boot it is the drive shaft boot, which is different than the CV boot, nobody sells them , they want you to buy driveshaft to get it, they are just crooks, Ford also
No need to apologize, your efforts are appreciated, I did look at that other boot, looks like it would work , the boot on the 2002 Ford Escape , V6 4x4 is up on front of drive shaft by transmission, this one looks as though it is a 2 part drive shaft and the boot is where the 2 parts of the drive shaft come together, which does not matter at all if it will work, thanks for the help, Jerry
