Great forum guys this placed has helped me a lot. Just replaced sway bar bushings with poly ones did new end links ( they have rubber bushings like oem. )also did rancho 5000 shocks , I have these squeaks driving me crazy, they may have been there before just MAY be noticing more now with new parts ,truck has 63000.00 miles on it, from driveway to street 1 1/2 inch drop you hear noise ( slow speeds ) sounds like when truck uses front leaf springs, I know there are other bushings under there hoping you guys have already had this problem and can pinpoint . THANKS VERY MUCH
My 2004 F350 PSD did the same exact thing. I have a cabin up in Stratton, VT where I left the truck for years sitting on a dirt driveway. I decided to bring her back to CT last winter to plow. After hearing the squeeks and it driving me crazy, I replaced my rusted out shocks with RS5000's. Still squeeked... I then did the same and replaced bushings and end links. Still would squeek...
As the previous poster wrote--it is more than likely the leaf spring shims... I would have a helper rock the truck while you try and pinpoint the squeek (engine off of course). More than likely, it's the leaf springs... I didn't replace the shims, just power washed the hell out of them to get as much sand, dirt, and dust out... There is still a faint squeek but they are leaf springs and it's still a work truck... I'm dealing... Good Luck...
Does it hasppen when driving straihgt or turning. My annoying squeak was a bad ball joint but was mostly noticeable when turning....
I notice it when going straight low speeds dont notice when I am on hgw. or at a good clip Ill try looking at what others also have said in this thread. Ball joints have been replaced about 2-3 years ago THANKS.
