I ordered my EV2s from Clay last week and I thought I would call around and check on prices in fear of messing up something myself. I called 2 places. One said 245-325 which I thought was not too terribly bad. I just recieved a call from National Speed which about made me fall out of my chair. $685.!!!!!! for 6.5 hrs labor. I felt like asking what were they gonna do for the other 3.5 hrs. Looks like I may be attempting this one myself. Even if I scew something up I still be better off than spending 685 dollars. I just figured I would rant and be thankful for the fact I have several here that will walk me through this....
I will remember that once I dive in not knowing what I am doing I guess when I get them I can actually look and see how hard it will be. I will probably need lots of pictures
Just set aside a Sat. or Sun. afternoon & take your time doing it, you'll be amazed at how simple it all ends up being & the satisfaction you'll get from doing it yourself. I'm sure you will get great instructions from Clay so read them a couple times before you dive in. Good Luck
You can do it. Figure on 8 hours and if it takes a little less time, great. There aren't too many things to screw up. Just don't rush and ask questions here if you get stuck.

Boost, Pyro and transmission. I just might take you up on that. I live in Wilmington but go see my parents in Kinston about 30 minutes from new bern
It's not that difficult Joe - between Clay's instructions and the online help here on FTE you will be able to do it yourself. If you can make it out to Wes - then all the better. Either way you will be just fine.
it looks like i am going to have to move. Seems like everybody lives on the west side!!!
Yeah, for whatever reason everyone seems to like the sun and nice weather all the time in Cali.
To the gauges.....They look harder than they really are. Just take your time and plan it out......No big deal.....The installing of my gauges were probably the easist thing i've done.
Like everyone has said, it's not as daunting as you might think it is. What I did was break up the installation over the course of a few days, an hour or two here and there. One day I did the pyro probe install, (not nearly as difficult as it sounds), and ran the wire into the cab. Another day I did the boost sensor and ran the line into the cab. On another day I mounted my gauge pod, ran wiring, and hooked it all up. Plenty of support here if needed.
