Flex piping?
Does anyone know how good this stuff is?

it looks pretty good for a budget. But will it last for a decent amount of time or will it fall apart next week?

Y-pipe? It'd work in a pinch but I sure as heck wouldn't as a long-term installation. That is, unless you wanna keep replacing it. The constant vibration near the engine will eventually create a crack.. sorta the same way that a paperclip will break it is continuosly bent back and forth.
There are flex couplings on the market. I've seen 'em used where side pipes are hard-mounted and the flex coupling is used as the transition piece so the vibration isn't transferred to the frame or cab.
