Thinking of getting one and been trying to do some research on the install.
Looks like the radio surround will come off with two bolts found under the 12v power point and the aux/usb input.
Maybe install a second camera in the truck bed since I plan on getting a 5th wheel camper... or maybe one out the front....
You have to do their camera(s) or ur tailgate cam not both
cabindoc is right. They have been promising for months to release a version that can support dual cameras with one being the factory tailgate camera. That was supposed to be released last January and is still not available.
Please call or email them and let them know that it is an important feature to you. They aren't making the product because there have not been enough interested customers. I've been hoping/waiting for this since the day I bought my truck.

Thanks for the link.
Sounds like everyone is getting the run around.
Makes me wonder that maybe it is not even possible to add the factory camera with an aftermarket one.... why else would they not just add it.

I just downloaded and installed the latest firmware version. Went through the setup and it never asked if I had a second camera. So... I'm not sure whether or not the second camera with a factory camera is supported.
I suspect there is a fair amount of programming to be able to program the Nav to switch between cameras. Let us know what you find out!

Is it true, I just need to take out the two 7mm bolts at the bottom and the rest of the radio surround is just held on with some type of clip ??
Anything else or tips/tricks for getting at the back of the radio ??
Also on a side note, any idea if a different trim is available besides the wood looking one ??

You will need to remove the inserts that hold the power adapter on the left side of the panel and the USB/line in on the right side. Insert screwdriver in the slot under these inserts and gently push in while pulling up -- don't pry. You are trying to compress two clips on the top.
After removing those inserts, you will see a 7mm (I think) bolts on each side. Remove those.
After removing those, grasp the bottom of the wood panel trim and gently pull up and out. Just about the time you think it is going to snap in two, it will pop out.
The radio has 4 bolts of the same size as the two lower ones.
Today I recieved an email from the knuckleheads at Coastal (Lockpicks).....They have been promising this mod for a year.....They keep giving the runaround.....Either they can't do it, or there is not enough volume for them to make the engineering investment (80/20).....It sucks, I want to add a camera to the back of my TT.
Maybe we all need to keep emailing them every couple of weeks. Keep reminding them of the market for it....
Based on the response today I may not even buy one at all right now.... If they come out with a new "product" to do this, it may be that the current one is not able to upgrade and support these functions.
Here is the response that I got today : Unfortunately since your factory system currently has a factory camera, you would be unable to add a second camera to the vehicle or do a/v inputs from an outside a/v source. However, we may be releasing a product designed to do that and more in the next few months. I would recommend checking back with us within a couple of weeks to ensure compatibility with your particular vehicle. Thanks again and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Blah, blah, blah. Same crap they have been saying since I started asking in early December.
